Start with ChatGPT’s saved flashcards
Ask ChatGPT to make flashcards from a topic or your notes. If the interactive flashcard feature appears in your account, you can flip each card, mark it as known or missed, edit it, and revisit the saved deck in your ChatGPT library. That can be enough for a quick practice session.
Check every question and answer against your source. If a card is inaccurate or too broad, ask ChatGPT to revise it before you use it to study.
Does ChatGPT schedule each flashcard for a due date?
OpenAI’s current flashcard help describes known and missed practice, but does not describe a next due date for each card. In Orbit, you try to recall the answer, reveal it, then choose Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. Orbit uses that rating and the card’s review history to calculate when it is due again.
The practical difference is what happens when you return: Orbit shows your due cards, so you can focus on what needs another review. The schedule changes with your answers; it is not a fixed interval for every card.
Add checked cards to Orbit
Copy the checked questions and answers as two tab-separated columns, then choose Paste cards in your Orbit library. Select or create a deck, check the row preview, and import the valid pairs. Start with a small set and review it once to see whether scheduled due dates help your routine. Your original ChatGPT deck stays in ChatGPT.
There is no automatic ChatGPT-to-Orbit transfer today. The Orbit plugin for direct saving is still in preview and is not a public installation. If you already study with Anki, Orbit can also import .apkg and .colpkg packages; that is a separate import path.
