Create a free Orbit account. If you sign up with email, confirm your address to open your library. Make a deck and add a question-and-answer card, paste checked pairs into a deck, or import an Anki .apkg or .colpkg file. The Ready for today panel shows new cards and cards due for review.
Choose Start review, try to recall the answer before revealing it, then rate how well you remembered it. Orbit records the review and schedules that card’s next due date. When you return, your library shows what is ready to study.
Try to answer before you reveal the card
A flashcard is most useful when the front asks one clear question. Pause and recall the answer, then reveal the back and compare it with what you remembered. For example, a language card might ask for the meaning of one word rather than a whole paragraph of vocabulary.
If a card repeatedly feels vague, edit it. A smaller question with a precise answer is easier to judge and schedule than a card that mixes several facts.
Tell Orbit how the recall felt
Choose Again when you missed it, Hard when you struggled, Good when you recalled it, or Easy when it came quickly. Orbit uses the four-grade review history to calculate the next due date. The interval is personal to the card and your answers; it is not a fixed timetable for every learner.
Your deck view shows what is due today. You can review a small set, leave, and come back later without having to work through every card in the library.
Build cards from trustworthy material
You can write cards yourself, import an Anki package, or use ChatGPT to draft questions from your notes before adding them to Orbit. Whichever route you use, check important facts against the original source before relying on the cards, especially for clinical or other consequential subjects.
